JACK COWIN

Chairman

Jack was born in Canada and moved to Australia at the age of 27. Opening his first KFC store in December 1969 with 30 brave Canadians lending him $10,000 each for 35% of the company. Now Jack is the chairman and managing director of the CFAL group of companies which has sales revenue of $1.4 billion and Net Shareholders Funds of $600 million. Hungry Jacks is the Burger King Master Franchise Holder for Australia and with 360 restaurants, the company exports food products to 26 countries and has won several Australian Export Awards. Jack is the owner of 98% of the group shareholding.

Currently Jack is a director of public company Fairfax Media. He is also a Director and 40% shareholder of BridgeClimb; which is a major tourist attraction in Sydney. In March 2014, Jack was announced as the Chairman of Domino’s Pizza Enterprises. Jack brings a wealth of business and industry experience to this role.

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 


ROSS ADLER

ROSS ADLER

Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chairman

Ross was a Non-Executive Director of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia from 1991 to September 2004, and was a Director of Telstra between 1995 and 2001. Ross is also Chairman of AUSTRADE and Executive Chairman of Amtrade International Pty Ltd. Ross was Chief Executive Officer of Santos Ltd from 1984 to 2000. Previously he was Deputy Managing Director of Australian Paper Manufacturers (now AMCOR) and Managing Director of Brown & Dureau. Ross has been an adviser to Domino's Pizza for three years. Ross holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Non-Executive Director

Paul is the founder and Chairman of BridgeClimb. Paul founded BridgeClimb in 1998, following nine years of development, planning and construction. Paul, along with the BridgeClimb business, has been highly rewarded by the tourism and business community in Australia. Paul was awarded the National Entrepreneur of the Year (Business) in 2001, and the Australian Export Heroes Award in 2002/2003. Paul's career included marketing and general management roles for B&D Roll-A-Door, before founding the Amber Group in 1974. In 1996, Paul sold his interest in the Amber Group to management. Paul is a director and founding shareholder of InterRisk Australia Pty Ltd. Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW.

Group Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Director

2012 marked Don's 25th year with Australian owned and operated Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd ("Domino's), the largest Domino's franchisee for the international brand in the world.

After starting as a pizza delivery driver in 1987 in Redcliffe, Queensland, for Silvio's Dial-a-Pizza ("Silvio's") while studying to be a high school teacher, Don fell in love with the business and slowly worked his way up the ranks for the years to come. Future positions included; Store Manager (1989) followed by Area Manager, State Operations Manager and Director of National Operations (1991-1993). In 1993, Silvio's purchased Domino's in Australia and Don became General Manager. The Domino's and Silvio's brands were operated separately.

In 1996 Don became a Domino's franchisee and built a network of 17 stores, before vending his stores into Domino's in 2001 to become Chief Operating Officer (2001) then Group Chief Executive Officer (2002). In May 2005, Don led Domino's to become Australia's first publicly-listed pizza chain on the ASX.

Don has won a number of industry awards including; Brisbane Lord Mayor's Channel 7 Businessperson of the Year Award 2015, The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 Northern Region Listed Company, The Ernst & Young Australian Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2004, Australian Institute of Management (AIM) Professional Manager of the Year 2004 (Qld) and the 2002 Qld Retail Franchise. Don's international Domino's awards include; Chairman's Award for Outstanding Leadership in the Domino's worldwide network 2004 and Pizza International Manager of the Year 1996.

 

 

 

 


GRANT BOURKE

GRANT BOURKE

Non-Executive Director

Grant is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee of Domino's Pizza Enterprises Ltd and has been a part of Domino's Pizza since he became a Franchisee in 1993. He grew to become one of the largest franchisees in Australia with eight stores, annual sales in excess of $9 Million and over 250 employees. In 2001, Grant teamed up with Don Meij, and as Australia's two largest franchisees, vended their 25 stores into the company in exchange for a 23% shareholding.

Between 2001 and 2005, Grant was Director of Corporate Store Operations, managing over 100 company owned stores. In 2005, the company listed on the ASX and Grant was involved in the private to public process and post-IPO looked after investor relations. In 2006, Grand was appointed Managing Director, Europe and relocated to Paris, managing the company's recently purchased European operations in France, Belgium & The Netherlands with over 200 franchise and company owned stores. Since 2008, upon his return to Australia, Grant has been a non-executive director of Domino's Australia. In 2013 the company purchased 75% share of Domino's Pizza Japan and Grant now serves as a Non-Executive Director of Domino's Pizza Japan. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director of ASX company, Pacific Smiles Group LTD and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Prior to joining Domino's Pizza, Grant spent six years with Masterfoods (Mars Inc) working in various technical, sales and marketing roles for the company throughout South East Asia, New Zealand and Australia. Grant has won many awards within Domino's Pizza, including National Sales Champion in 1995, Golden Franchisee award in 1995, Franchisee of the year 1997 and 1998, and the Golden Eagle in 1999 for his contribution to Domino's Pizza. Most notably Grant won the Chairman's Award, for Outstanding Leadership in Domino's Pizza in the worldwide network. Grant holds a Bachelor of Science (Food Technology) from the University of NSW and an Masters of Business Administration from Newcastle University.

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

LYNDA O'GRADY

LYNDA O'GRADY

Non-Executive Director

Lynda has extensive experience in executive and consulting roles in IT, telecommunications and media organisations spanning more than 30 years. This experience was gained in a diverse range of organisations across several industries characterised by complex technology, products and services. Executive roles included Executive Director and Chief of Product at Telstra and Commercial Director of the publishing division of PBL (Publishing Division).

She has a successful track record in innovation in product and business development including identification, acquisition and successful integration of competitive or complementary businesses.

Lynda is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, is Chair of the Aged Care Financing Authority and an independent director of the National Electronic Health Transition Authority, amongst other director appointments.

Group Chief Marketing Officer

Allan is the major marketing strategist for Domino's Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Japan and Germany. Allan was awarded the prestigious Marketing Executive of the Year Award by CEO Magazine in 2013 and more recently, CMO Magazine's CMO of the Year in 2016.

Allan joined Domino's as Chief Marketing Officer in January 2007, and has 21 years of experience in consumer and retail marketing. Prior to joining the Domino's team, Allan has held previous positions as Director of Marketing for Red Bull Australia and Marketing Manager for Diageo responsible for the Johnnie Walker Scotch Whiskey portfolio and Stolichnaya vodka. During Allan's time at Diaego, he orchestrated the launch of some of Australia's most successful ready to drinks.

Allan holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from the Edith Cowan University in Western Australia where he graduated with distinction.

During his time at Domino's, Allan has busted fast food industry myths, spearheaded Domino's most successful product launch in the past 20 years and taken a traditional delivery pizza company and transformed it into Australia's most sophisticated online and digital retailer. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

BRETT MOORE

BRETT MOORE

Head of Franchise Operations

Brett is Domino’s Head of Franchise Operations for Australia. He knows Domino’s back to front, having started as a delivery driver at Domino’s Belmont at the age of 17 – he has been with the company ever since.

Brett worked as a Regional Manager and State Manager, overseeing 32 corporate stores, before he bought his own store at Woy Woy and became a franchisee in 2004.

Over the next 14 years, Brett built a 19-store network across New South Wales, Tasmania and New Zealand and became the largest franchisee in terms of number of stores owned in Australia.

In 2018, he returned to corporate as Domino’s Head of Franchise Operations for Australia.

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

CRAIG RYAN

General Counsel and Company Secretary

Craig Ryan joined Domino's in August 2006 as General Counsel and Company Secretary, where he is responsible for the Legal Department, company secretarial and Industrial Relations functions of the company. His role entails drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, supervising store transactions, dealing with ASX-related issues, assisting the Board with administrative issues and supervising the production of the Annual Report. DAVID KLAGES

DAVID KLAGES

Group Human Resources Manager

David Klages joined Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (Domino’s) as the Group HR Manager in April 2014 and his responsibility spans the Company’s seven markets - Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Japan and Germany.

A member of the Group’s Leadership Team, his key focuses at Domino’s includes executive compensation, reward structure, talent and succession planning, and diversity and inclusion.

Throughout his time at Domino’s, David has been able to oversee the implementation and development of diversity initiatives, global remuneration reviews, reward strategies, as well as significant recruitment sourcing reviews and culture development.

With over 20 years HR and leadership experience in a variety of large and diverse companies including QSuper Limited, Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) Australia and Japan and TAFE NSW, David holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Aviation from the University of Newcastle as well as his Commercial Pilot’s Licence.

Prior to Domino’s, David was Head of HR Strategy and Policy at leading superannuation company, QSuper Limited and prior to this worked as the Director of Human Capital at multinational professional services company PwC for six years.

Throughout his extensive career, David has managed a number of complex HR issues for companies with large and diverse workforces across geographic boundaries and proved that he is a results-driven professional with a strong commercial focus.

David thrives in his role working for a dynamic publicly-listed company with a workforce of over 30,000 employees as he works with the leadership team formulating important strategic and operational decisions.

Passionate about his work and fellow colleagues, David has played an integral role in ensuring Domino’s keeps its high staff retention rate and attracts only the strongest of candidates.

Group Chief Procurement Officer

John joined Domino's in 2004 and has over 21 years' experience in both retail and industrial procurement and supply chain. He is responsible for the delivery of all elements of Domino's Australia, New Zealand and European supply chain. Prior to joining Domino's, John held procurement positions with ICI in Asia and manufacturing roles with Unilever in Australia. John graduated from Swinburne University with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mech) and also has a post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from Monash University.

 

 

 

 


 

LYNN CARRUTHERS

LYNN CARRUTHERS

ANZ Chief Financial Officer

Lynn Carruthers is Domino’s ANZ Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the financial over-sight of the Australian and New Zealand businesses, as well as Group Statutory Reporting.

With over 35 years’ experience in finance roles covering all aspects of the finance function including management and statutory accounting, systems, risk, regulatory compliance, audit, company secretarial, restructuring, acquisitions, business intelligence and analysis and building high performing teams.  Lynn has worked in a diverse range of organisations including design, shop-fitting, construction, furniture retail, food retail and gambling.  The companies include Ikea UK and Tatts Group Limited.

Lynn was previously Domino’s Group Financial Controller from 2006 until 2012.  After a five-year break, she returned to Domino’s in July 2017 in her new role.  She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (London), FCMA, FCGMA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

MALLIKA KRISHNAMURTHY

Head of Global Business Intelligence

Mallika is the Head of Global Business Intelligence for Domino’s Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Japan and Germany.  She is responsible for areas that include the global data architecture, global business reporting, customer insight generation and predictive analytics, which drive Domino’s continued leadership in the QSR market.

Mallika joined Domino’s in June 2016 as the Global Head of Strategy and Insights and has nearly 20 years of experience in consumer & business insights. Prior to joining Domino’s, Mallika has held positions as Director, Consumer & Business Insights for the McDonald’s Corporation and Senior Category Insights Partner for Kraft Foods.

Mallika holds a Masters of Public Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University.

 

 

 

 


 

MICHAEL GILLESPIE

Group Chief Digital and Technology Officer

Michael Gillespie is the Group Chief Digital and Technology Officer for Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited (DPE), overseeing the Digital and Information Technology teams.

In this role, Michael is responsible for overseeing the IT, ecommerce and key digital marketing functions across DPE’s seven markets – Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Japan and Germany.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in marketing from Griffith University, where he received three consecutive Annual Griffith Awards for Academic Excellence during his degree. He also attended the Stanford d.school where he completed a design thinking course to help the business unlock new ideas.

With more than 18 years’ experience in online marketing and digital strategy, Michael continues to adopt a forward-thinking approach, with extensive knowledge of the online space, to ultimately build sales momentum.

Michael’s experience with the Domino’s brand spans almost a decade. During this time, his vision and commitment have helped Domino’s transform into Australia’s most sophisticated online and digital retailer, with several advanced online ordering platforms and online initiatives.

Through Michael’s leadership, Domino’s has rolled out DPE’s global online ordering platform into its seven markets, while also driving digital sales growth and efficiencies.

He has achieved a number of world firsts in social media and online ordering including managing DRU (Domino’s Robotic Unit) Deliveries, DRU Drone by Flirtey New Zealand delivery in November 2016, Domino’s iPhone App launch in 2009 which reached the number one position in Apple’s App Store and launching Domino’s Virtual Assistant DRU Assist.

Michael works closely with influential global companies to develop best practices and is seen as a leader in the online space.

Before Domino’s, Michael worked at Virgin Blue (Virgin Australia), Australian Insurance Holdings (Budget Direct) and QBD The Bookshop.


 

NICK KNIGHT

CEO Australia & New Zealand

From pizza delivery driver to multi network franchisee, Nick Knight had the largest network of stores of any franchisee in 2012. As a successful franchisee Nick won Domino's top award, the prestigious Golden Franny, from Domino's International three times.

Early 2013 saw Nick make the move from franchisee to Corporate Operations Manager, overseeing the operations of Domino's Pizza Enterprise's 80 corporately run stores. In August, 2013 Nick was promoted to the role of ANZ Operations Manager, for all franchise and corporate stores. As ANZ Operations Manager Nick oversees all Development and Operations for Australia and New Zealand. In 2015 Nick was appointed the position of Chief Executive Officer of Australia and New Zealand.

Nick has won numerous awards including four Australian ‘Eagle’ awards for Leadership and three consecutive International ‘Gold Franny’ awards, which are the highest honour presented to a Domino’s franchisee. Nick brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Domino's Executive Team.

Group Chief Financial Officer

Richard Coney is Domino's Group Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the Company's financial accounting, planning and reporting, treasury, tax, Company Secretary, Investor Relations, Legal and IT. During his 20 years with Domino's, Richard has played an integral role in the IPO (Initial Public Stock Offering) and European acquisitions when the Company purchased Domino's France, Belgium, The Netherlands and the Principality of Monaco. Additionally in August 2013 Richard helped orchestrate Domino's 75 % acquisition of Domino's Japan.

He holds a Bachelor of Management Studies and is a Chartered Accountant for the Institute of Chartered Accountants New Zealand with over 28 years' of experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

RIAN BELL

Chief Development Officer

Rian Bell is Domino’s Chief Development Officer and is responsible for leading the Franchising and Development Team, as well as Construction, Supply and Service (CSS). Rian has been with the company for the past nine years and has held a number of positions during this time including the General Manager of CSS, Market Manager for the Queensland & Northern Territory, and Franchise Development Manager for Australia and New Zealand. Rian has achieved significant store growth for the company, as well as transforming Construction, Supply and Service from an internal, non-competitive operation into a commercially-minded, successful business.

 


 

TERRY POWELL

TERRY POWELL

Terry Powell has more than 20 years’ experience in IT leadership, security, management consulting and marketing across a range of sectors, including financial services, government agencies and retail.

During his nine years with Suncorp, Terry held various executive roles, including recently having accountability for leading the technology division for the Insurance business. He has a strong track record of delivering complex IT programs including simplifying core systems and insurance applications, successful transition to cloud computing, significantly reducing critical incidents, and as Executive General Manager Security improving the company’s security resilience.   

Prior to joining Suncorp in 2009, Terry held senior consulting and technology executive roles at Westpac Banking Corporation, SMS Management and Technology (SMS) and TD Waterhouse.

Terry is passionate about embracing new technologies to drive innovation and business agility, leading globally dispersed and diverse teams, and delivering service excellence for customers.

Terry holds a Master’s in Business and Technology from the University of New South Wales.
