FRRR & Domino’s Delivers Give for Good Grants Program

to Support Australian Communities

August 2016

Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (Domino’s) in partnership with the Foundation for Rural, Regional and Renewal (FRRR) launched its Give for Good Grants Program, to provide monetary grants to regional communities and projects across Australia.

The grants program will provide access to funds for initiatives focused on Domino’s Give for Good key focus areas including; disaster relief (short and long term), education and youth initiatives, and leadership and entrepreneurship.

Local regional communities can apply for a grant of up to $5,000 to fund a charitable community-led project that responds to one of the Domino’s Giving areas, as well as responding to the needs of the community.

Domino’s Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Don Meij said the Domino’s Give for Good Grants Program will provide regional communities the opportunity to make a big difference.

“We have always prided ourselves of being a Company that gives back to the communities in which we operate, and we wanted to extend this help to rural and regional communities all over Australia that need assistance.

“Our partnership with FRRR, which commenced earlier this year, means we are able to tap into the community groups and the people who need our support the most.

“The grants will help support these communities to identify the issues that need addressing, develop projects to implement improvements as well as supporting sustainable best practices for innovative ideas that make a difference,” said Mr Meij.

“Whether these grants fund an educational workshop, the development of youth activities, rebuilding and ongoing maintenance of infrastructure damage due to a natural disaster – Domino’s wants to help our regional communities grow stronger.”

FRRR is a not-for-profit organisation that harnesses the power of collective investment between government, business and philanthropy to improve the lives of those living in rural, regional and remote Australia.

FRRR CEO Natalie Egleton said Domino’s commitment of providing up to $150,000 worth of small grants means the communities right across Australia can benefit from a wide range of initiatives – everything from engaging youth, disaster relief and preparedness activities.

“Building vibrant, resilient and adaptive rural, regional and remote communities across Australia is a shared vision of FRRR and Domino’s.

“We believe this can be achieved by harnessing the economic, community leadership and social strengths that exist in communities through supporting these community-led projects,” Ms Egleton said.

Applications for a Domino’s Give for Good grant are open from Monday 1 August 2016 to midnight (AEST) Friday 9 September 2016.
