Domino's Response to COVID-19

Your health and safety is our priority

At Domino’s, the health and safety of our team members, customers and communities is always our priority – never more so than right now given the escalating COVID-19 health crisis.

We place immense value in the trust the community gives us to deliver safe, freshly prepared meals and take this responsibility seriously.

In light of this, we have implemented a number of additional, proactive health and safety measures to ensure we can continue to provide you with the best, and safest, experience possible.

Domino’s Zero Contact Delivery

Customers now have the choice of a ‘Zero Contact Delivery’. This means having your favourite Domino’s meal delivered piping hot and fresh like usual, but with no direct contact between you and your Delivery Expert. This free service is being offered in response to some customers requesting to limit unnecessary physical contact.

Reinforced hygiene and handling

At Domino’s, we always practice rigorous hygiene and handling procedures throughout all stages of the pizza delivery process – from making, baking and delivering. This includes regular handwashing, routine equipment and surface sanitisation and wearing gloves when making pizzas. Our pizzas are then cooked in an oven that exceeds 260 degrees Celsius and are not touched again by human hands. Expert medical advice has confirmed viruses, including COVID-19, would not survive the high temperatures of our pizza ovens.

Additionally, we regularly have food safety auditors in our stores making sure Domino’s rigorous food safety and hygiene practices are being upheld.

We have also installed extra sanitisation units for customer use in all our stores.

Staff health and safety

Domino’s has been working closely with health authorities to ensure we are in the best position to minimise the spread of infection should a team member present with symptoms or be diagnosed with COVID-19.
This includes:

  • Mandatory staff training on COVID-19
  • Store posters outlining the steps to take should a customer, or employee present as unwell
  • Daily communication to share the most up-to-date information from government and health authorities to keep staff informed
  • A 24/7 COVID-19 response team.

We believe our customers deserve to feel as safe and comfortable as possible when ordering from us in these uncertain times. We also want to ensure you can still enjoy sharing delicious pizza with family and friends.
